What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Taking Ipill?

Hi doc..I had an unprotected sex on 26 xx and had consumed I pill within 42 hrs. .my last period date was 18th.. bt dis time I had started my period from 13th, bt its only few drops or few strands of bloods.. plez suggest some medication or are dere any chance of getting pregnant. .. Thank u.

Understand your concern
I pill is effective in preventing the pregnancy as you took with in 42 hour.
If you have taken I pill before the ovulation then it cause withdrawal bleeding or spotting with in 7-9 days after taking I pill in 50 percent women. It is due to progesterone withdrawal effect.
You have to wait for period. If period will delay by the 10-12 days from expected period date then you have to go for home pregnancy kit test to diagnose pregnancy. (chance is less)
Thus your spotting is due to I pill as it cause partial disruption of normal menstrual bleeding/inter menstrual bleeding.
