What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Taking Contraceptive Pill?
Hi august 17 to 20 i have my monthly period and one the 21 night have a sex with my boyfriend.the following day i took one postinor pill..and each we have sex intercourse and 24 of august wednesday i took other one pill and following day another one pill..29 n 30 i spotted there stain blood in my underwear and today i like a period..is this normal and is theres chance fr this im pregnant..or if not next month does i have my monthly period again..thanks and God bless Yen
Postinor is often used to prevent pregnancy and a common side effect of it is bleeding and your periods may not be on your due date as you would expect. In this case, it is still best to have a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy (you may have the test 2-3 days after your due date).
If you are not pregnant then you should just relax, there may be some irregular bleeding with this pill and this is normal. It should start to get better soon. If you continue to have irregular bleeding even a month after taking the pill then you will need to see your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
