What Causes Vaginal Spotting Along With Heavy Menstruation?

after i used misoprostol my periods were absent for 4months after that they returned but i have been experiencing spotting,sometimes heavy bleeding for aday then it stops. I have had loss of libido ,difficulties to sleep,sometimes i just spot for 2wks then stop after a week it comes again. what can be the problem?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Your symptoms are consistent with a hormonal imbalance which could be brought about by the misoprostal (but in such cases has to be temporary) or a possible condition that was previously asymptomatic, but is now acting up (e.g. polycystic ovaries).

In such a scenario, it would be best to visit your doctor for a check on hormone levels, a physical examination and an ultrasound of your abdomen and pelvis.
