Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Vaginal Spotting And Abdominal Cramps During Menopause?
After 14 months, and blood tests confirm I am in menopause, I have mild cramping and spotting. Very typical of what I had experienced before 14 months ago. In April I saw my OBGYN, everything normal range including bloodwork for estrogen levels to confirm I am in menopause. I am 48 and she did mention that sometimes you can fall out of menopause. The rule is to contact your doctor for any post menopausal bleeding. Given the short time frame, do you think it is necessary to contact my OB. ennmably
Hi I think you should consult a gynecologist for complete examination. Get a pelvic examination done by a gynecologist to rule out any cervical pathology. Get a ultrasound done to see uterus and ovaries to find out and endometrial thickness. If thickness is more than 4mm, you may need endometrial biopsy to rule out any endometrial pathology. Hope it helps.
