What Causes Vaginal Spotting And Thick Mucous Discharge After Removal Of Cervical Polyp?

I ve had a thick ball of vaginal mucus this morning. The past few days I ve been having brownish spotting. I m 50 with a regular cycle and am now in mid cycle. I ve had a cervical polyp removed a little over a month ago. What could be the cause of these recent discharges?

Hi,

After cervical polyp is removed. Mild brown-pink bleeding can follow for 15-30 days at the most. After this normal menses start. In case bleeding persists after one month, you should see operating gynecologist. For the risk depends on size of polyp removed. The management of extra bleeding would depend on size and type of polyp.
