What Causes Vaginal Spotting And Weight Gain While On Sprintec?
If I had protected sex almost 4 months ago and my periods have came regular every month. Im also on sprintec took a test 24 days after intercourse and it came out negative will that be correct? Plus I had my period that month I had intercourse.The reason I m asking is bc I have been have spotting and break through bleeding and have lost a lot of weight.

Since you are on birth control pills, weight gain is normal. Presently you are having breakthrough bleeding and experiencing weight loss. Breakthrough bleeding is a common side effect of birth control pills, however if you have missed the pills you may be pregnant. About 30% of the women experience breakthrough bleeding in the early stages of pregnancy (implantation bleeding).
Sometimes due to sensitive cervix and rough sex you may experience bleeding. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist. Get per vaginal examination, urine test for pregnancy, blood test and USG (uterus) done to detect the cause of spotting and weight loss. You will be accordingly treated. Take a well balanced home made diet. Take iron and calcium rich food.
