What Causes Vaginal Spotting, Blocked Nose And Blocked Ears After Intercourse?
Hi Dr Andrew Rynne, I had intercourse a couple of days ago, and today I noticed light blood spotting as well as blood clotting. I am also suffering from a cold/virus at the moment where I have lots of phlegm and a blocked nose and blocked ears as well. Somewhat hayfever symptons. My partner also used a condom so he did not ejaculate into me, so why am I experiencing light blood clotting? It is red like blood too.
Probably the bloody discharge you are experiencing may be related to the period. If not it can be related to infection or cervical uteri issues. A Pap smear should be done.
The congestion of ears and nose may not be related to that. This situation may be related to common cold or flu or even allergic rhinitis.
Use antihistamines such as Benadryl or Cetirizine and decongestants such pseudoephedrine for congestion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
