What Causes Vaginal Spotting During 5 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
Hello, my names Erin. I just found out I m pregnant last week. I m 5 weeks and two days. I have son now. My due date is April 7. I never spotted with the first, but this one I am. I wasn t when I called my doctor and she asked if I spotted when I made the appointment. Now I am it s when I wipe when I pee and very light pink but I never had it before and I don t know if it s normal or what to do?
Hello dear Understand your concern Following are the cause of the spotting during the 5 week of pregnancy. Early miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, placental bleeding, low progesterone and HCG. I advice you to consult the gynecologist and undergo the USG scan and reproductive hormone analysis to rule out the above cause. If USG will be normal then it may be normal. You should avoid heavy work and exertion, too much bending, ups & downs. You must take adequate bed rest, take vitamin and folic acid supplements. Progesterone and HCG injection can be used to maintain pregnancy in the low hormone/high risk pregnancy. Periodic check up is must. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
