What Causes Vaginal Spotting During Early Pregnancy?
I am about 5 weeks pregnant and a few days ago I started spotting... It stopped, nothing too heavy but it came back again the following day. And stopped again. It was a light pink colour.... Then the day after that it was was more than spotting... More like my period but didn t fill my pad... Also blood clots and frequent trips to the toilet to pee.... I looked in the toilet one of the times because I felt something come out and it was a brown lump that kind of looked like a mini kidney.... I haven t felt any severe cramping but my breast arnt as sore as it was last week...... Is this a miscarriage?
The symptoms seem to be related to implantation bleeding.
Implantation bleeding is a common cause of spotting early on in pregnancy.
This bleeding happens when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining. This may occur because there is an increased number of blood vessels in the tissue around the cervix during pregnancy.
