What Causes Vaginal Spotting During Periods While On Contraceptives?
I ve had vertigo for the last eight days along with the vertigo on the day I am supposed to get my period I had lite bleeding (didn t fill a lite tampon and was old blood) this lasted the next day and then was over. I am currently on birth control and have not missed any pills. Also took a pregnancy test three days after missed period and came back negative. Are the two related, and should I be concerned about the missed period?
Hello dear Understand your concern I think it is hormonal imbalance due to contraceptive pills. But you should confirm the pregnancy again after 10 days. or you do Blood HCG levels and USG to confirm it that is very sensitive.
So if it is due to OCP, it will goes its own. If not goes, changes to other contraceptive method.
Other cause may be: Endometrial dysplasia Endometriosis Vaginal/ cervical atrophy Cervical polyp/Cancer Dysfunctional uterine bleeding
If not responds: consult the gynecologist and do following tests: Hormonal analysis: LH, FSH, E2, P, HCG, THyroid profile Endometrial biopsy PAP smear
After diagnosis you can take proper treatment.
Hope this may help you BEST REGARDS DR. SAGAR
