Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Dr, based on my last menstrual period I am supposed to be around 8 weeks pregnant today. At around week 7, I had a very light orange tinted spotting..then it went on to brownish, and finally today at 8 weeks I noticed a more pinkish spotting when wiped and a drop or two of brighter red blood. I was freaked out for sure and went to ER and get my gynae to enter only to find out my baby was measuring only 1cm and did not seem to have a heart beat. I was really heartbroken to see my baby in the sac and it s also not moving...my gynae asked for me to revisit to confirm my pregnancy health but it does seem like I m losing this one...does this really mean it s not viable anymore?
Hi I think you can wait for 1 to 2 weeks and repeat a scan to confirm the viability of pregnancy. If the bleeding increases or pain occurs, consult your doctor immediately. The chances of a healthy pregnancy is less but sometimes delayed implantation can lead to variation in ultrasound findings. Hope it helps.
