What Causes Vaginal Spotting In The Middle Of The Menstrual Cycle?

I have a regular menstrual cycle of 28-30 days, with bleeding lasting up to 7 days. Last month it only lasted 5 days from 29th Jan till 3rd Feb , after which I had unprotected sex every alternate day as we are trying to get pregnant. Now on the 16th of Feb I have experienced slight bleeding without any cramping, it has lasted only a few hours for now and has not stopped yet. Could it be implantation bleeding or am I just experiencing an odd menstrual cycle due to my sexual activity?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Implantation bleeding is normally lighter and for a shorter duration than the normal period.

If the bleeding does not last a long time then you can do a pregnancy test to determine if you are pregnant.
Pregnancy tests can detect the HCG hormone which can be detected by day 11 to 14 after conception.

You can do a test at this time to determine if this is the case.

I hope this helps
