Hi, I am approximately 5 weeks postpartum and had stopped bleeding completely around 2 weeks ago however, I am get periodic bleeding - red flour around 1-2 ml only. It is not consistent and does not even stain my sanitary napkins. Every time I think I am done it comes back... very confusing. It happened again today. I noticed the blood when I went to the washroom today afternoon and after that nothing.. all clear. Is this normal? Please advise as it is scaring me now. I had a normal delivery (2nd baby) on the 8th of March. Thank you
Hi, I think it is normal to happen during postpartum period due to hormonal changes by breastfeeding. You can take some medicines like tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. It will resolve in few months. If you are too much stressed, you can get yourself evaluated by a gynecologist and get a scan done. But it is quite normal to have such spotting. Hope it helps.
