Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am at the end of my tether. I have been getting bleeding and spotting more often than not for over a year. I have been on the pill for over 10 years and had no problems until last February when I developed cervical erosion. I was seen by gynae to rule out anything more sinister but all was okay apart from the bleeding. I opted for the Mirena coil 6 weeks ago to try and fix my bleeding issue. The first week was fantastic. I had no bleeding or spotting. After the first week and until now I have been bleeding on and off and have had spotting. I was given false hope there after having 3 normal days with no bleeding but it’s back again now. I am so fed up. It is my husband’s 30th birthday at the weekend and I just want to feel normal. I am going to see my GP in two days to check the positioning etc of the coil.
