What Causes Vaginal Swelling After A Hysterectomy?

I had a hysterectomy a little over a week ago and just started getting irritation in my vaginal lips. And when i started to look and kindof touch to make sure i didnt have anything irritating i realized my left labis is crazy swollen an tender.. and very uncomfortable. What would cause that?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my surgical experience, the vaginal swelling after hysterectomy depends upon the type of surgery performed as if vaginal hysterectomy done , then a cautery burn or other manipulation related secondary swelling is possible , or there can be compression via particular posture in post operative period.

* And if abdomen hysterectomy or total laparoscopic hysterectomy is carried out , then cause is much weird to be evaluated.
