What Causes Vaginal Thrush/irritation/swelling After Recovering From Water Infection During Pregnancy?

i'm 32 weeks pregnant and have just finished antibiotics for water infection, i now have really bad thrush and am extremely irritated and swollen down there, i have been using canesten cream to soothe it but it isnt really helping. It's been about 4days now. Will my baby be affected?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion vaginal candidiasis or thrush is most commonly found infection in pregnancy.It causes itching with irritation.Clotrimazole vaginal pessaries will help so discuss regarding them with your doctor .Dont worry.It will subside with treatment.If severe and untreated it might sometimes lead to preterm labour.
