What Causes Vein Bulge In The Bend Of Arm?

i just had a vein bulge almost in the bend of my arm and it is a little painful. it hurts worse when i straighten my arm. i wasnt doing anything when it happen and it popped up in just a minute. what is this from? im 24, 140 lbs, and 5 ft 4 in tall. no medical problems that i know of.

Hi,

Normally veins are much more prominent in males compared to females and in manual workers compared to sedentary. Now, if it is only at point that your vein is popping out, it points towards the diagnosis of venous aneurysm. As you didn't mention the size of the bulge, I cant say about the further line of management, though we usually operate upon it when the size is equal to or more then a centimeter.
