What Causes Vein Swelling In The Thumb With Bruising?
yesterday for no reason i was washing up and felt a burning pain like my thumb was swelling up instantly and i saw that a vain in my thumb was like a ball that was ready to pop,an hour later it it started to bruise and 24 hours later it still feels a bit swollen but the bruising has more or less disappeared this has also happened to me on another accation a year ago on the palm of my other hand where the vain looks like its blocked and swollen then after a couple of days disappeared, please help i am 41year old single mother of a 9 year old daughter and am really concerned.........

There is no need to concern.Veins may get bruised even with a minor trauma.There is collection of blood around the vein which disappears with the passage of time.
