What Causes Veins In Body To Be More Pronounced Than Normal?

I normally have prominent or noticeable veins. I have what one phlebotomist referred to as best friend veins. However tonight I noticed that all of my veins not only on my arms and such but also all over my chest and even on my stomach and side are way more pronounced than normal. Could this be perhaps the lighting in the particular room? (I am on vacation and staying with my boyfriend s family and not accustomed to the lighting perhaps.)

IN the given situation of Yours, seem to suffer from-Phobia of pronounced Veins,with exposure to lighting effects.
As you don't have any new complaints,it seems to be a case of Phobia from light effects.
If you still doubt about these veins,I would suggest you to Consult-Chest Surgeon / and Physician and to rule out other causes responsible for such veins, like-TOS(Thorasic Outlet Syndrom),Mediastinal tumours, etc.

This plan would reduce your dilemma from prominent veins.

Yes, in the intense light superficial veins over the body are more clearly visible. Similar is the case in day light.Nothing to worry.
