What Causes Vertical Discolored Lines On The Scrotum?
A friend in Argentina, has discolored areas on his scrotum and the underside of his penis. The areas do not itch but are embarrassing to him. He also has a larger than what seems normal scrotum which seems perhaps flattened and odd. The scrotum actually has discolored stripes that run vertically the full width of the flattened area. His doctor is having him apply some sort of salve daily. He indicates there has been no improvement in the weeks he has been using the salve. He is concerned and asked me to see if.I could find information on what causes this and what to do about it. I am in the USA. Thank you. YYYY@YYYY
It can be due to varicocoel or tortous blood vessels which may appear like lines over scrotum along with swelling. It's better to get a urologist review and local examination may be needed. Ultrasound testes may also be required along with semen and urine analysis to rule out any local infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
