What Causes Vertigo After Taking Betahistine Dihydrochloride?

Hi, doctor is betahistine dihydrochloride tablets an antibiotics bcause i am gtting a problem of vertigo n doctor prescribe a drop to put in my lft ear as i am suffering my ear, vertigo, n pain o n my back n shoulder is it a severe problem the drop is to expand the dirt in the ear n in 5 dys they wll wash the dirt. As i put the drop i gt the vertigo. Wht should i do. Thnks.

Hi,

Betahistine is not an antibiotic but an anti-vertigo medicine. It must have been prescribed to you because of vertigo you are having.

You have not mentioned the name of the eardrop you have been prescribed but if it's causing you problems you should consult your physician and get it substituted by a different medicine.
