Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a round of antibiotics for an infected knuckle after an injury from a jammed middle finger playing basketball. It has not gone away...it s been over a month now. Injury March 2 and antibiotic March 20 and now what...it is still hard to move and thinking it is arthritis or something strange happening. I have had vertigo this past week?
Hi Thanks for posting your query on HCM I have read and understood your concern Siince the finger is still hard to move after all the treament received, i feel it should be reevaluated. An X-ray will be important to rule out a fracture. If only infection, antibiotics and pain drugs will resolve the problem in a shorter time.A fracture should be eliminated given the persistence of symptoms. As for vertigo, since there are no other associated symptoms, i will advise you eat healthy, rest well and observe. It may have just been due to the drugs you took. The names of the drugs you took would have help.If vertigo persist, you see the Doctor for investigation. Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns Best regards
