What Causes Vertigo Along With Abdominal Cramps And Nausea?

After I have been awake for a few moments and change position in the morning I get a weird full sensation in my head after lying still for a moment, and I have to close my eyes really tight and change the position of my head. It also feels like my lower stomach is being pulled inside out. If I open my eyes straight after my head settles the room appears to be spinning. This is frightening and I feel quite nauseous after it happens and am very tired for a long time.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have vertigo along with abdominal cramps and nausea. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like gastroenteritis , panic attack , irritable bowel syndrome , food poisoning , lactose intolerance or giardiasis . I would suggest you to eat light , non spicy , avoid food like nuts and sea food , take antacid , take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl and drink lukewarm water . I condition doesn't get well then consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order stool test , ultrasound or endoscopy . Doctor may prescribe laxative , omeprazole , ornidazole or albendazole . For now apply warm compresses to lower abdomen and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for ear problem . Avoid bending forward.
