Hello doctor.I m a lady from Hyderabad, aged 47 yrs, I m suffering from severe vertigo , head is spinning n rounding when sit and sleep all the time day and night . I feel so much discomfort and feeling my head is heavy on neck. cant hold head stand even for few minutes. I have this problem for past two months...Pll suggest correct suitable medicines. I used vertin 24mg two times a day. but no use. it is not working now. suffering from severe giddyness. I want only neurologists consultation...!!
As per the history given in your query you seem to be suffering from an inner ear disease called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. I would recommend Meclizine or Cinnarizine for the control of vertigo which does not appear to respond to Vertin. Besides I advise the following home remedies: 1. Be aware of the possibility of losing your balance, which can lead to fall and serious injury 2. Sit down immediately when you feel dizzy 3. Use good lighting if you get up at night. 4. Walk with a cane for stability if you're at risk of falling
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
