Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Take 1/2 mg of Klonopin at night for anxiety and sleep. My menieres is flaring and I am having daily vertigo attacks. ENT Said Ativan could help. I m worried about having an attack while driving so would an Ativan calm me a bit or would I have other side effects to worry about, like drowsiness? Have a 1-hour drive x 2 ways tomorrow and don t want to have to pull over and wait out a vertigo attack.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if it is Ativan being suggested for the fear of vertigo while driving then Ativan would be even more danger than the vertigo if ever have while driving, in my opinion stop taking the drugs and try to come out of this condition without the drug and you can do this, just try relaxation therapy, self counseling, exercise, yoga, control your thoughts, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
