What Causes Vertigo While Suffering From Tooth Infection?
I have had vertigo for one year and I have it exactly around the end of the month. Realized I had a tooth infection but never hurt but finally I was noticing swelling around it then it went in my neck and I got and antibiotic it was going down got it pulled but it wouldn t numb so yes I had intense pain. But made it through. Now my vertigo has been super bad and u think it was from a lot of infection?
I can understand your concern. Vertigo is associated with fluid movement in the middle ear or problems with the cervical spine and neck. Tooth infections are not likely to cause vertigo.
It is good that you got the treatment of the tooth infection as excessive infection can resorb the bone underneath and can cause problems in future. However, it is possible that your vertigo may not solve just after tooth treatment.
I recommend that you should visit a physician or ENT specialist for clinical examination and finding the cause of the vertigo along with suggestions regarding its treatment.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HCM. I wish you feel better soon.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
