What Causes Very Heavy Bleeding With Lot Of Blood Clots And Cramping?

I had asked a question a few days ago about not taking my birth control regularly and having unprotected sex. Well, I got my period but its not normal, I am bleeding very heavily and I have a lot of blood clots, and I am cramping bad, and that is not normal for me. Even tho I got my period, could there still be a chance of being pregnant?

Hi,
Thanks for consulting us.
Yes, pregnancy is always a possibility, unless excluded, in all women of child bearing age if they have any period abnormality.
I think you should see a Gynecologist for assessment. Have a pelvic examination & ultrasound. A blood pregnancy test may also be required.
Wish you good health.
Best regards.
