What Causes Very Less Bleeding And Delay In Periods Having A 8 Month Old Baby?

hello doctor,

i have a 8mnth old baby had not got periods till 4th jan ,but it only very less bleeding the whole day from nxt day no bleeding at all ,consulted a dr she gave me regetrone 5mg for 3 days 6 tabs twice daily but asked to do a urine pregnancy test at home before taking the pills, now it two days since i have stopped the pill yet not got my periods i.am scared pls suggest...i have hypothyroid taking 100mg tab,,,i have a history of regular periods 26 day cycle even with the thyroid...

Hello,

Do home pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. Hormonal imbalance, stress, over wt, high prolactin level etc can cause above clinical feature.

I suggest you to undergo one pelvic USG and hormone test if you don't get your period after waiting 7 days. Kindly, consult with doctor regarding this.
