Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have started to feel a fizzing or vibrating or buzzing in my heart. It s not at all strong. Someone has described feeling vibration in the chest like a cell phone on light vibrate. I have arrhythmia which is controlled with beta blockers. I don t know if the vibrating is connected. I m conscious of it now every few minutes. I ve had a couple of Holter monitor tests because of palpitations earlier this year but nothing abnormal showed up but this fizzing is something new. I have also been struggling with anxiety and insomnia over the last 10 months.
Your symptoms could be related to different possible disorders: thyroid dysfunction, a pinched nerve, etc.
For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your doctor and performing some tests:
- a chest X-ray study
- complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate for inflammation
- thyroid hormone levels for thyroid dysfunction
- a cervico-thoracic X ray study for chronic degeneration of the spine
- a nerve conduction study (ENG) for any possible pinched nerve in this region.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
