Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Vibrations In Left Side Of Chest While Having Mild Afib?
Left side chest vibrations like a cell phone vibration. EKG normal , No Pain, just awareness of thismild vibration which started yesterday. 24 hour heart monitor results monday. I have mild AFIB and an ascending thoracic aneurysm at. 4.7 CM stable for 2 years. I take rhythmol 325 mg. 2x day for last 9 years.
Chest vibrations could be repeated spasms of chest muscles for which causes are many. If you were my patient, I would order a complete blood and electrolyte workup to look for any disturbances. Also, since you are having atrial fibrillation, I would also look into cardiac parameters to check its status. Stable aneurysm is always a good sign but atrial fibrillation with aneurysm may go in for complications. Kindly follow up regularly with a cardiologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Tejas, General & Family Physician
