Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have an implantable pacemaker/defibrillator - last night i was awakened twice by violent chest/upper body spasms, but it did not really feel like the one time the defibrillator went off two years ago. is there some kind of other shock i should know about?
Anyway any doubt better to confirm ...just get defibrillator checked ......and shocks will be there then we can know ...other wise most probably U may be fairly asymptomatic... defibrillator have different programming to handle arrhythmia ...some time without shock..it pace heart fast and convert to normal rhythm ...so better be checked ...take care
