Hi
I've gone through your query and I understand quite well your concern
Rivastigmine is also used to treat
dementia in people with Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.
Some side effects are difficulty sleeping, confusion,
depression, anxiety, sleepiness,
hallucinations , tremors,
dizziness etc.
It's very important the way the dosage is taken. As you told me, your mother first started on a low dose of rivastigmine and slowly increased it.
Based on the symptoms you told to me that she is experiencing and she cannot tolerate it, I suggest that the drug may be stopped for several doses.
When the drug is started again, the same dosage or the next lower dosage may be tried. The maximum daily dosage is 6 mg two times per day.
you sholud know that Rivastigmine may cause other side effects.
So, please call the doctor if she has any unusual problems and experiencesa serious side effect while taking this medication.
Hope this information is useful to you
