What Causes Visible Blood Vessels In Back Of Throat After Having Gastroscopy?
I had a gastroscopy a few days ago. Now my throat hurts and I can see lot of blood vessels and some yellow in the back of my throat. Do I have an infection from the procedure? The doctor did 2 biopsies and said I had esophagitis caused by acid reflux.
hello, thanks for your query, instrument manipulations, biopsies can cause injury to walls of pharynx, esophagial sphincter and esophagus. I think ur surgeon already had given antacids and antibiotics to prevent acid reflex. in persistent throat pain u can start syp. mucaine gel 15 ml twice daily for 5 days.hope I hav answered ur query. all d best. take care.
