Hello, i am a 26 yr old female. In the past 3 days i have been experiencing a tight pain in the right side of my chest, and visible veins only on the right side of my chest only. Also My right nipple is very sensitive and always erect, and there is an aching in my right hand that comes and goes.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Let me tell you that the symptoms described by you suggest that you have Pulmonary hypertension (this can damage the right side of the heart by increasing pressure). In this situation, I suggest a 12 lead ECG and digital X-ray of the chest. I also suggest beta-blockers medicine for lowering blood pressure and pain. I recommend you change the lifestyle and diet plan. I advise you to consult a cardiologist for further evaluation and its appropriate treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Arup Majumdar, General & Family Physician
