Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Vision Loss While On Acetaminophen And Aspirin?
I am looking for any contraindications of using aspirin, NSAIDS, acetominephin, or benedryl while using Betagan to lower intraoccular pressure. The individual involved has suffered severe loss of vision following a retinal bleed. IO pressure was 48 in worst eye, 23 in other. Thanks.
Acetaminophen or aspirin doesn’t cause any alteration in intra-ocular pressure(IOP) and are not contraindicated in glaucoma patients. Benedryl can slightly increase the IOP by significant elevation of IOP is not seen in clinical practice. You can consult an ophthalmologist immediately and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
