Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have veterious hemorrhage at the posterior of my right eye when playing badminton. Don t know the cause, but no diabetes. Waiting to see opthamologist. What questions should I ask him. Emergency doctors said no immediate effect for retina detachment and tear.
Vitreuos haemorrhage can be caused by trauma to the retina that is to the eye. High blood pressure and diabetes also causes bleeding to the retina. If no high blood sugar then trauma and high blood pressure are the main risk factors for you.Yes, you need to visit your opthalmologist for review and the way forward. It may reduce your vision. But with medical innervation it will be ok.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mutuma Geoffrey Zambezi
