What Causes Vomiting, Abdominal Pain And White Mucus In Stool In An Infant?
I have a 4 week old baby and he has yellow poop with white lumps in it I am wondering if he is lactose intolerant. He has lots of tummy aches and crys alot as well as alot of vomiting more of these signs are in the evening. He is on powder formula nestle good start . Please help.
4 weeks old baby with yellow stool is ok . the white lumps probably undigested milk.
it is possible that the milk is concentrated too much . the baby digestive enzymes are not well developed to digest fully the formula milk.
you can give him this formula in more diluted form ,and give more frequently .
after every feed keep him upright alongside of your shoulder and burp him to get release of gases/air from stomach . this will help to have minimum tommy aches and colics and vomiting.
Hopefully this might help you . If your baby not getting well inspite of all this or the symptoms aggravate , then better to consult a paediatrician as soon as possible. thank you
