I just had my Appendix removed yesterday I weighed myself this morning. And it said I gained 5pounds. How when I was vomiting the night before I even knew it was my Appendix and i haven t had a appetite at all day Is it gas I m constipated haven t had a good bowel in 3days feel bloated and most of all will lose the 5pounds I gained.May seem worried but before my emergency surgery I had been exercising and lost 22lbs I really don t wanna fall back
Hello dear. Hope you are in the best of everything other than your weight issues which I have gone through thoroughly and very carefully. I have a vast experience in the field of general surgery, nutrition and diet management and Internal Medicine. In my expert opinion you need not to worry at all. Its not your fault. You will be active again in a few days. Neither gas nor stools in stomach gives you an added weight of this much number. Ok. One thing thats most important is the weighing machines have errors in measuring exactly. This parallex or mismatch shouldn't be considered to an extent of worry. Stay calm and all things will settle down in days. It has nothing to do with your surgery too. Hope to see you healthy soon. If you have further questions you are more than welcomed anytime. Stay blessed and happy. Your physician Dr. Muhammad Hanif MBBS BSC ECFMG MD PHILADELPHIA PA USA
