General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I understand your concern about your child. How many episodes had occurred till date? Does she feel spastic pain in chest and abdomen before vomiting? Does she often differ food without appropriate reasons.

Two possibilities can be suspected. Actual esophagus pathology or psychological problem related to getting overweight. First consult gastroenterologist to rule out pathology related esophagus and stomach.

If everything is fine with gastrointestinal track, then consult psychiatrist for behavior therapy for condition called anorexia nervosa. In this patient differs food in order to lose weight.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
