Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had my wisdom teeth removed at 10 this morning. It is nowned nearing 10 pm and I haven't stopped vomiting. I can't keep food or water down. I took my pain killer at 12 with food, but I imagine the vomiting would've stopped by now if that were the cause. Is this normal? What can I do?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain vomiting after wisdom tooth extraction can be related to side effects of medicines that must be given to you post extraction.. However it can also be side effect of local anaesthesia..
If the vomiting is not resolving you should immediately consult an Emergency Room or your denture and as excessive vomiting can cause severe dehydration that can be fatal..
As of now take anti-emetics like Domperidone and drink plenty of fluids.. Try eating Yoghurt..
Hope this helps.
Regards.
