What Causes Vomiting Along With Nausea?

Can you have strep thrust with a normal WBC? No step test done. Been vomiting for about 5 days. Keeping a small amount of liquids down. Constantly complaining of nausea even with Zofran. Dr said it s a virus. CBC was within normal range. Mono test slightly elevated hence virus diagnosis. Child is 8 and miserable.

Hello,

Viral infection can cause nausea and headaches and vomiting . It will take 7-10 days to subside . meanwhile adequate rest and fluids are required . he can be started on antisemitic if vomiting persists couple with paracetamol for the fever.
