What Causes Vomiting And Abdominal Pain When Suffering From Clostridium Difficile Colitis?
M mother has been having severe pain in her abdomen and diarrhea. After several weeks, a blood test revealed cdiff. She started feeling a little better with antiobiotics and was given an endoscopy this morning. The results confirmed severe cdiff. She immediately felt a lot of gas and stomach pain. She was given medication for pain. Tonight she is vomiting, has severe diarrhea and is in excrusiating pain in her abdomen. She is still hospitalized but Im very concerned

I think she should do the stool culture to get checked. Taking antibiotics is the right treatment. Vancomycin is preferable to treat it. She may need to take the treatment for 10 to 14 days.
