What Causes Vomiting And Abdominal Pain?

My 16 year old began vomiting last night around 2 am which continued on about every hour or so until around 1 pm, with a bit of abdominal cramping. She is achy, and now is running a temp of 101, She is finally able to keep down some ginger ale, and smart water. Is this flu or a bug or food poisoning?

Hi,
sudden onset of abdominal pain, vomiting and fever can have many differentials right from simple food poisoning to complicated diseases like intestinal perforation. It is difficult to guess what it is with out examining as some times, false assurances can be fatal. I would recommend you to take him to your family doc, get him examined for a proper diagnosis.
Mean while, you may try some OTC drugs like domperidone and omeprazole which can give symptomatic relief.
All the best.
