What Causes Vomiting And Dark Stool After Cut Down On Alcohol?
I stopped drinking alcohol about 2 nights ago... I ve been vomiting about every 2 hours so much that my throat is sore, I ve also had black tarry looking stools but no blood in my vomit or stools that I can tell. I feel much better than last night but I m still worried about the orange urine and stool seeing how I ve been drinking water nonstop for about 3 days
Black tarry stools are usually an indicator of blood in the stool, the blood causes the black tarry appearance. This can also occur with pepto bismol or iron supplements as well.
The abnormal color of urine may be due to its high concentration. Since you are vomiting so much, you may be slightly dehydrated and this would cause the urine to be more concentrated and change appearance though you've been using a lot of water.
It would be best, in light of the black stools, for you to see doctor as soon as possible.
I hope this helps
