What Causes Vomiting And Diarrhea While Having Gastroenteritis?
Last week, I had gastroenteritis, causing vomiting, diarrhea, and a fever as well as stomach pain. Five days later, my fiance has a low temperature (95.5 to 97.0) , nausea, and stomach pain. Is it the same thing or possibly different? And should I be giving Tylenol? He s taking immune supplements and drinking fluids, but not seeing much improvement.
The diarrhea and vomiting with gastroenteritis are related to bacterial infection of the intestine. Though tylenol will suppress the temperature for 4-6 hours temporarily, basic treatment of the infection control is mandatory to overcome the issue in precise manner. - Tablet ondancetron (4 mg) 3 times a day on empty stomach with sips of water to control vomiting - GI specific antibiotics as rifaximin (400 mg) with or without Metronidazole (400 mg) - Probiotics and pre-biotics to support intestine flora - Dietary measures to prefer organic fresh fruits, cereals, pulses - Avoidance of dairy fat, non veg, junk foods, spices if consuming
