What Causes Vomiting And Excessive Phlegm?

Hello. Last night I started vomiting. I have a lap band so it has always been just if I eat to fast. But I only ate half a biscuit with butter. I couldn’t keep it down. I was heaving flem till it was orange in color and had a foul metal bitter taste. Today my pee and poo are the same color as the vomit but poo is like jelly and I’m not vomiting anymore. What should I do? Sorry so detailed. Pam

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Excessive sputum may be due to infection like bacterial or may be due to bronchitis or bronchectasis or pneumonia etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.
Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day.
Use bronchodilator and antibiotics under your doctor guidance .

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
