What Causes Vomiting And Low Appetite In A 3 Year Old?
Hi my 3 year old daughter woke in the middle of the night and vomited once . Then ran fever for 3 maybe 4 days. She stopped eating at first I did not think anything about it I thought it was because of the fever and that she wasn t feeling good today is day 24 that she is not eating and when I say not eaten I mean nothing not a single thing she said she is scared to eat she will drink she does not have allergies she does not have asthma I talked to her doctor and to doing blood workhwork her eosinophils are 1127. I m getting no answers please help me into figuring out what this could possibly be all of her other lab work was normal except being slightly elevated on some things 4 white blood cell count was totally normal your inflammation was normal. Her pediatrician has referred us to a GI doctor but that appointment is not for another 2 weeks please help

Your daughter suffering from gastroenteritis, since the child must be on a liquid diet or breastfeed milk. Eosinophilia count is high.
The water is she is taking might be contaminated. She might be having roundworm infestation for which is is to be treated. She can be given piperazine citrate. The dose should be as per her age and weight.
But she is to be treated by gastroenterologist. Cleanliness is to be maintained. Uncooked vegetable and fruits must be properly cleaned before eating.
Till you see gastroenterologist keep kitchen clean and may be child while playing putting uncleaned hand in to the mouth. This should be prevented by other persons who are taking care of the child.
