What Causes Vomiting And Nausea After Having A Laxative Tea?

At the beginning of December I remember feeling so sick that I had ended up vomiting, then for about a week I could barley eat, I took a laxative tea then suddenly I was fine for about 2 weeks then the same feeling came back but only this time I didnt vomit I just had the same feeling and now its still hard for me to eat.. Evey time I eat my stomach feels funny, and I can just tell something is wrong because as a kid I never really had any stomach problems or even medical problems. Do you guys think you know what may be wrong?

I can understand your anxiety in sending the above medical complaints. As per your history you were suffering from vomiting and nausea which are symptoms related to gastrointestinal tract.

You had mentioned that you were using laxative tea. Laxative tea will be used if anyone is suffering from constipation and as anti inflammatory and in some cases for weight loss. In general senna tea and dandelion tea will be used. Laxative tea will be having side effects only after using for a long period.

In your case there was no history of long term use of laxative tea, so there are minimum chances of laxative tea as probable cause of your vomiting and nausea.

We have to check for other causes like any medication, diet, emotional stress, ulcer, stomach flu, GERD or any other infection. It is better to go for the following investigations:
1. Complete blood picture
2. gastric function tests
3. ultrasound abdomen
4. check for any risk factor

Coming to treatment part
1. Drinking gradually larger amounts of fluids
2. Avoiding solid food until the vomiting episode has passed
3. Vominil tablets can be used if necessary

If any abnormal finding are seen in investigations you can consult us at any time. Hope you could recover soon by following above aspects.
