What Causes Vomiting And Nausea Along With Diarrhea?

My daughter has been having vomiting and nausea for over a year now along with bouts of diarrhea. Has seen multiple doctors with no relief. GI dr did scope on stomach, nothing showed up. Just give her zofran and suggest irritable bowel syndrome. She s been put in hospital to rehydrate, her chest will hurt, heart rate flucuates between 58 to 70, blood pressure very low at times 69 over 52 was lowest. Muscle weakness, fatigue. She used to be very active now it s hard to walk her dog. Loosing muscle mass and weight. She is getting so stressed over no diagnosis of help to stop the vomiting. One dr gave her stomachs meds GI dr took her off of them. Nothing is working.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, it is irritable bowel syndrome. As it has psychiatry component, please take the opinion of a psychiatrist as some patients need such medicines. She should take foods with low polysaccharides called low FODMAPS. The list is available on the internet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
