Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my seven year old is vomiting for no apparent reason. Last Friday they sent him home from school for vomiting in class. He hasn t been suffering much nausea, nor any dizziness. Funny, my ten year old daughter went to the school nurse complaining of nausea today.
Understanding your concern. As per your query your son has symptoms of vomiting and nausea which seems to due to gastrointestinal disturbances. It could be due to electrolyte imbalance and acute gastritis. I would suggest you to take antiemetic like domperidone and ranitidine for gastritis. You should take plenty of fluids. You need to reduce the quantity of food taken per meal. Avoid sharp, spicy and oily food. Visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined. If you will feel severe symptoms of vomiting you should go to hospital and get antiemetic injection and intrvenous fluids after proper consultation.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
